Mobile Chapter #0040 Ladies Of Harley

The Ladies of Harley are very diverse and active group of ladies in our chapter.  They are active in planning the many rides the chapter sponsors. We enjoy the social aspect of the community events, such as the Gumbo and Chili Cook-offs. We are supportive of the area bike events and rides.

Our group is a diverse one ranging from nurses, to government workers, to salespersons, to housewives, to chefs, to businesswomen. Check our monthly meetings and plan to join us on a ride.

Our Ladies of Harley

Hi my name is Annette W. and I want to thank everyone for giving
me a chance to be part of the LOH.  I ride a 04" Softail Classic with a
voyager kit on it so not hard to find me in a group . I have only been
riding for three years and look forward to riding many more So come on
ladies lets get to riding .

About a year and a half ago my husband George decided to get a Harley.  He took the Riders Edge course and as soon as he felt comfortable I became his passenger.  He soon began to drop hints about "getting me off his back" so I signed up for the class.  But along came the deployments to Iraq, and Mobile Harley Davidson no longer had access to the field at the coastguard base.  The course was postponed and I continued to ride with my husband George.  Finally, this February, I went over to Pensacola and took the course.  We started looking at different bikes, trying to decide which ones would be the best fit for me.  As if by magic, the Low Ride appeared and seemed to have my name on it.   I am having a wonderful time learning how to ride. As a passenger a gained respect for the massive machine they call the Harley Davidson, and as the driver even more so.  I'm really looking forward to being able to join the group on many enjoyable rides.

Diann R.

My name is Robin I have always been fascinated by motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson's.  In 2003 my husband bought his anniversary edition after hearing for 10 years that he would not ride again.  While we were there in the store getting his motorcycle I spotted the "one".    Night Train, beautiful smooth black, sleek machine, and screaming out to me, I am yours.  But it was not yet meant to be for this was a 2003 model, because on one open house in May it was destiny for me to see and get a beautiful sleek black and chrome 2004 Night Train, brand new just put together.  I could not stop smiling, and have not since.  I enjoy every minute of every ride with a smile like I had the day that I got my first Harley Davidson Night Train.  And last but not least let me introduce to you my family.

I LOVE MY HARLEY!!!  2006 Softail Deluxe Black Pearl!  I’m Pam, AKA “Broken Wing”.  I just got that nickname after attending the 2007 State HOG Rally.  You see I am a flyer!  I love to fly on the back of my husband’s Harley (Electra Glide) but when I drove my bike to the Rally this year, they said I couldn’t fly…… well I can, only one arm!  LOL   If you see a Hot Pink helmet and a pink MP3 player hanging off the side of my jeans, it’s just me singing my songs and riding my Harley!

I’ve only been riding for a little over a year now.  I never liked Motorcycles and never would allow our son to have one.  Now he can’t believe that I ride much less own my own!  I’m a Grammie of 5 adorable grandchildren!  After minor surgery that went bad, I started looking at life a different way.  My husband has always allowed me to do what I wanted and our 2 children always did what they wanted.  All I’ve ever heard was him dreaming about owning a Harley and us riding together when he gets close to retirement.  So July 2005, I decided it was his turn.  I bought him a 1200 Sportster because he wasn’t sure that I would like riding with him.  We had it 3 months and traded it in October for a 2006 Electra Glide Classic!  We were having the time of our life!  Then I decided that I was missing some of the rides due to him working every other weekend.  So, he convinced me to take the Safety Coarse to make sure I would like driving my own.  I took the Coarse on a Friday, Sat & Sun and went into the dealership on Monday and picked out the Deluxe.  I took it home the next day.  It sat in the garage for two weeks before I drove it.  It looked much bigger after I got it home and the weather was bad at the time also.  But once I got on it, I’ve never got off.  I drive it everyday if weather permitting to work, get my hair done and my nails.  I own an embroidery shop and love to sing Karaoke every Thursday night.  When other bikers come in to the shop, they can’t believe the Deluxe is my bike!  I really get a kick out of guys taking double looks at the red light and I get a lot of yells from the fellas when they go by and see that I’m a woman on a Harley!  They are just amazed.  I guess they thought Harley’s were for men only.  I don’t know and don’t care!!  I own one and love riding it!!  I wish everyone could have as much fun as I’m having on my Harley!!  See you on the road soon.

I ride a 2003 Anniversary softail and have been a member of HOG for about 3 years.

Debbie M.

My name is Patti, I have always enjoyed riding motorcycles as a passenger.  Until one day I decided I might have as much fun on my own. Boy was I right.  In October 2004, I bought my beautiful Baby Blue, a 2005 Sportster 1200 Custom. Now, these days I’m saying the heck with diamonds, I want more chrome. Now with all that said - Clutch - Throttle - and Ride.  Chrome Diva style.
