Ladies of Harley

Welcome to the land of Ladies of Harley (L.O.H.). The Harley Owners Group® describes this as another benefit of membership, not a separate organization within H.O.G.® or local chapters. L.O.H. was established to help women become more active members of H.O.G.® and their local chapter. There are a lot of misconceptions on what L.O.H. (Ladies of Harley) really is. This section is to help clarify what L.O.H. is and how it is vital to any H.O.G.® Chapter.

L.O.H. Ladies of Harley (L.O.H.) is a program sponsored by the Harley Owners Group® (H.O.G.®) to support women motorcycle enthusiasts (notice I did not say Rider). It does not matter whether you ride your own or are a passenger, you can be a part of L.O.H.
Ladies of Harley strives to encourage women members to ride and enjoy the camaraderie of other women in the chapter was established to encourage women to become more active in H.O.G.® and their local chapters.

It is not a separate organization but rather another part of the benefits of H.O.G.® It is not a group of woman trying to separate from the men, but rather trying to encourage more women to be involved in an activity that was traditionally male dominated. More and more women are moving from the passenger seat to their own bikes, but we still do not want non-riders to feel intimidated.

L.O.H. membership allows you to not only participate locally, but also in all the L.O.H. activities at various H.O.G.® rallies and events. These may include workshops, seminars, and other special events. So what does L.O.H. do? This is where your involvement helps to answer that question. We meet and determine where we go over activities and events, that we want to do.

You must be an active member of Harley Owners Group® to be affiliated with Ladies of Harley. Although LOH is a free membership to active H.O.G.® members, Ladies of Harley affiliation is not automatic. If you wish to join, contact the national Harley Owners Group® office or go to www.hog.com. You will receive a patch and pin distinguishing your involvement.

The list of reasons why women decide to ride Harley-Davidson® motorcycles is as long as your imagination. To climb on your Harley and hit the open road offers an exhilaration that defies explanation. You temporarily leave your cares behind when you ride into that gorgeous sunset or discover new sights along the road. Many women find that although riding a motorcycle as a passenger is fun, they have wanted to be in the driver’s seat and experience twisting that throttle, rolling into a curve, and feeling the wind in their face. Join us and prepare to fulfill the charge that we are given by HOG -- "Ride and Have Fun!" AND YES MEN ARE WELCOME TOO!
